Solar Grill

Solar power is showing up every where. I see them at schools,  parking lots,  bus stops and even on cars.   I even have then on my own house.   They are becoming more and more common and more cost effective for everyone.
Professor David Wilson of MIT was inspired to create a solar powered grill after visiting Nigeria.   Some areas only cook their food on wood fires.   This causes respiratory problems,  deforestation,  and apparently rape to the women who gather the wood (this is what the article said.  YIKES!!!!).
Instead of using a traditional panel he uses a Fresnel lens and a container of Lithium Nitrate(We all have these things in our garages right?  Or we could always get them at Home Depot or Lowes huh?). Looks like it can store 25 hours of grilling time at 450 degrees Fahrenheit.  Holy cow!
The article at Inhabitat discusses what they are doing and what to expect.   We might see them for purchase in the USA in a couple years.
Looks Cool and Fancy!
